Our team

Our SLT for Kids team is made up of expert paediatric speech and language therapists and therapy assistants with wide ranging expertise. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality speech and language therapy.

Each and every one of our speech and language therapists are passionate in working with children who have speech language and communication needs.

All of our speech and language therapists and therapy assistants have paediatric speech and language therapy experience and are committed to providing you with the most up-to-date evidence-based therapy options. Our speech and language therapists can administer comprehensive assessments to identify the difficulties your child may be experiencing. In addition to this, our speech and language therapists and therapy assistants can offer support and advice to ease the concerns that every parent naturally has about the development of their child.  

To ensure our service is of the highest possible standard, all of our speech and language therapists and therapy assistants are highly sorted and undergo, regular training, appraisals, reviews and reflections to better improve their practise. Each of our speech and language therapists are able to provide a wide range of detailed assessments and our therapy assistants can provide therapy interventions for a range of conditions and difficulties.

Meet the team

Natasha Luke

Natasha is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from the University of Sheffield. Natasha works with a diverse caseload of children and young adults in clinic and in mainstream and specialist schools. Natasha is trained in Makaton and Hanen – More Than Words (a programme for parents of young children with social communication difficulties). She is also an Elklan Tutor and can deliver accredited training courses to parents and teachers. Natasha has a keen interest in supporting parents and teaching staff in managing speech, language and communication needs, and she is passionate about developing training packages and workshops.

Elizabeth Aulton

Beth is a senior speech and language therapist who graduated from Newcastle University. Beth has a wealth of experience working with children and young adults in mainstream and specialist schools as well as in clinic. She is trained in Hanen- It Takes Two to Talk (early language development) and Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) Level 1. PECS is a unique alternative/augmentative communication system with a primary goal of teaching functional communication.

Emma McElroy

After spending 15 years living in the United Arab Emirates, Emma graduated from the University of Manchester as a fully qualified speech and language therapist in 2016. Emma is trained in Makaton and is also licensed I CAN TalkBoost KS1 Tutor. TalkBoost KS1 is a structured and robustly evidenced programme for 5-11 year olds that can boost a child's communication by an average of 18 months after ten weeks of intervention.

Leighann Cherry

Leighann is a speech and language therapist who graduated from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. She is currently working with a paediatric caseload in mainstream schools. Leighann is a licensed I CAN Early TalkBoost tutor. Early TalkBoost is a targeted intervention aimed at 3-4 year old children with delayed language, helping to boost their language skills to help narrow the gap between them and their peers. The programme aims to accelerate children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 6 months, after a nine week intervention.

Julia Hunter

Julia is a dynamic, hardworking and highly motivated speech and language therapist with a special interest in SEN. Julia prides herself in her effective and holistic management of a range of communicative needs including those with statements within specialist provision.

Natasha Wetton

Natasha is a Speech & Language Therapist who graduated from the University of Manchester in 2018. Natasha is registered with HCPC and RCSLT. Since graduating, Natasha has been supporting children aged 0-18 years with speech, language & communication needs, and loves being able to make a meaningful difference to the lives of those she works with.

Kim has gained a high degree of awareness and knowledge about different assessments and therapeutic interventions to use to support these children. Kim is proactive, friendly, approachable and has excellent interpersonal communication skills.
