Our process
At SLT for Kids we like to keep the process of speech and language therapy as simple as possible putting the goals of the child, their parents and their school at the forefront of everything we do.
The first point of contact to speech and language therapy. You will be able to voice any concerns through your referral.
Referral
The speech and language therapist will assess the child's speech, language, communication and feeding skills based on the concerns voiced in order to identify any difficulties.
Assessment
A treatment option tailored to each child's individual difficulties will be provided in order to improve their skills.
Treatment
Your child may be reviewed and reassessed as part of the therapy process in order to identify any improvements being made or to ensure the therapy option is still the most appropriate intervention.
Review and reassessment
Once the child has overcome their difficulty or have achieved their best possible outcome discharge from the service may be suggested by the speech and language therapist.
